Just Some Facts about English

I have always heard people arguing around about the origins of these two languages: English and French. Some say English originated from French, and some say vice-versa.

For your information, English words rooted from Latin, the original language of the Rome Empire, and French shared the same origin as well. So, you mustn’t confuse whether English took words from French or French took words from English. In short, they all took words from Latin.

As for English, there are billions of words nowadays being used and created. What’s interesting is, ‘What is the longest word in English?’ Well, for that question, one word that I find the longest consisting of 45 letters is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. This is the name of a lung disease caused by inhaling silica into our body. If there are any longer words than this, please be kind to comment.

Anyway, just to think of it, What is the longest word in Khmer? Anyone knows? Please do tell me!🙂
