For those who like reading English novels, I think there isn’t any otherplaces to find cheap English books in Phnom Penh other than these two stores – Bohr’s Books and D’s Books. Bohr’s Books is kind of an old and small bookstore with varieties of secondhand books, even though some new
books are imported regularly. Oh, right, it’s located on #5, Southearos Blvd, a block away from the river front.
What’s greater are D’s Books. As far as I’m concerned, there are three branches of this shop in Phnom Penh, one near the river front and another one near the Independent Monument, and the last one is at Boeung Kak (I’ve never been there). The one near the riverfront is at 79 on St 240 and the other one is at 7 St 178. You can find them all on the map, or so I hope. Books at these places are also second hand with some new books included. Most of them are sold for around $4 or so; I don’t think that’s expensive, comparing the original price, and the books are not so old as well – they are all readable. You’ll find them cheaper to those sold in main bookstores like Peace Book Centre or International Book Center.
I think that D’s Books near the Independent Monument is the best one because there are so many books there, more than books in the two other shops combined. You should check that store out in your leisure.
