There have been much stir around what is really going to happen in 2012, particularly on the 21st of December. For now, Roland Emmerich, the renowned director of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, has made another big hit on this phenomenon. What’s about it?
This movie follows a strange change at the Earth’s core which results in earthquakes and volcanoes and other natural disasters across the globe. This, according to the prediction of the Mayan, is supposed to be the doomsday, the Apocalypse or the end of the world as we know it. During this commotion, an irresponsible man faced a big change in his life and he knew he must do something in order to save his two kids and his divorced wife from this cataclysm. Also, many rich people around the world were willing to pay a large amount of Euros in exchange for tickets granting permission onto so-called spaceships which were being built in China near Mount Everest. What about other millions of innocent people? In this movie, it was also shown that the government was trying to cover up this forthcoming disaster and chose not to warn people about it. To make sure of that, they even assassinated those who dared try to make this catastrophe public. Is that fair? What’s more important, will there be survivors? Or will there be no hope for humanity?
In my opinion, I won’t say this is the best film I’ve ever seen, but it’s worth watching after all. What intrigue me most about this flick are the special effects. There were many surreal scenes which may keep you on the edge of your seat. Well, I don’t know if this prediction is going to come true or not, but this film sure is a good one to portray what it would be like when the end comes.
One of the phrases I love the most in this film is, ‘The moment we stop fighting for each other, that’s the moment we lose our humanity.’ Hope you guys will enjoy it. 😀
